This site was built by hand using a vanilla HTML, CSS, Javascript stack, and is hosted for free on GitHub Pages. This was generally motivated by simplicity, performance, and a bit of nostalgia for a lost age of the internet. I also designed the UI while taking inspiration from Advent of Code and the artwork of Citizen Sleeper.
Originally from rural Western Massachusetts, I'm a recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BSc. Computer Science and BSc. Mathematics. Most of my hobbies are what you'll find here but I also enjoy running, reading, watching films, and learning German (~B1).
I was previously a Software Engineer Intern at Farm Credit Financial Partners, a fintech company based in Springfield, MA, and a Software Developer for BUILD UMass, a student-run pro-bono tech consulting group servicing nonprofits and UMass orgs. I've worked on projects spanning much of the computer science field including full-stack software development (native, web, and mobile), embedded (software and hardware), cybersecurity (exploitation and kill-chains), reverse engineering, computer graphics, computer vision, and LLM chatbots. Currently I'm looking for full-time positions in the low-level software sector.
My technical and artistic endeavors are often inspired in function by digital minimalism, and in form by retrofuturism.
I typically prefer CLI environments (neovim and command-line build tools) for developing personal projects, but occasionally use VSCode for more complex or dependency-rich software projects. For my thoughts on AI, read this.
