Final project for a bio-astronomy course imagining a fictional star system harboring intelligent life. Told through a sci-fi narrative set 1000 years in the future following the crew of Andromeda, the first humans to come in contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life. The Perseus crew was launched as a rescue mission to retrieve Andromeda and ultimately recovered their mission logs. The species that ultimately pushed them to their despise, Hermenis Pyrensus, is a fungus with a hivemind-like hyperintelligence, capable of rapid expansion, movement, and construction.
